after becoming the yearbook photographer in high school, i announced that i had found my career.a few weeks later, my dad asked me this question. it seemed he had a friend at work wanting to sell a 35 mm camera and dad was willing to get it for me, but only if i was actually going to use it. that was decades ago and i haven’t really put the camera down since. thanks dad
Lima OH to Washington DCto Cleveland from my days as a school pictures photographer, to opening a portrait studio in lima,to photographing events at the capitol and the white house, i love my chosen profession. i usually say that out loud at least once during a session.
a member of the professional photographers of america, ohio and virginia, i have also taught photography to other professionals, speaking about creating portraits, connecting with clients and using our work to benefit charities. my favorite is st. jude children's research hospital
Through speaking, holding office and entering print competition it is fun to win awards i earned my photographic craftsman degree.
So now here i am, in cleveland, to be near family. i still love my job. and my favorite part of being a photographer is still when clients tell me how much they love their photographs.
families come to me year after year and we create photographs and albums filled with memories. they look forward to picture day with katie, and we plan something special as an annual event. these are my people. and i would love for you to join our tribe.
So whether you are welcoming a new baby, updating your social media presence or just realizing how very long it has been since you had a family portrait made, i would be delighted to create wonderful, fun portraits for you and your family.
